Choosing one (or more) topic(s) from the Bootcamp, create a plan for how you would like to use it in the future, either a course or a module within an existing course. Your plan should include the following elements:
- Format: Course or Module
- Course Title
- Brief Description of Course or Module: 100 words or less
- Brief Justification: In a few sentences, describe why you chose this topic and why you think it is an important addition to curriculum.
- Learning Outcomes: include 3-6 outcomes that you want students to be able to achieve with this course. Use Bloom’s Taxonomy verbs and identify relevant outcomes across the taxonomy.
- Potential Resources: You may use references provided in the Bootcamp, but also additional resources that you feel are relevant. Post citations of 5-10 resources that would either inform or be used the course or module.
- Outline of Topics: For a course, include at least 12 topics (might represent weeks in the course). For a module, include at least five items that would help organize your module.
- Other Assets: Include any visuals, data or other assets to represent your course plan. This could be a screenshot of a project or assignment you completed in the Bootcamp.
The entire plan should be 2-4 pages and should be considered a start on your thoughts for a future course or module. Don’t feel that it has to be complete or perfect, but something you can continue working on after the Bootcamp.
When you are done with your plan, save it as a pdf (make sure your name is on it) and include it in the #finalproject Slack channel. Complete this plan by Thursday, Aug. 13. I will ask a few fellows to discuss their plans during the final session on Aug. 14.
During the session, we will also have a panel with previous PhDigital Fellows, we’ll debrief on AEJMC and have some final comments and thoughts on the future.
